De La Salle beach in Jackson’s Point has taken accessibility to new heights with the installation of a wheelchair friendly ramp, called Mobi-Mat. It consists of a movable rollout mat comprised of re-used plastic bottles.

Georgina Mayor, Margaret Quirk attended the ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil the new and innovative ramp in late July.

De La Salle beach also enjoyed over $325,000 in accessibility upgrades to lane ways and washrooms, of which nearly $110,00 was granted by the federal government.
