A 2017 Canadian UFO Survey by Ufology Research points to 11 reported sightings in Markham, Richmond Hill, Newmarket, Vaughan, Aurora and King. The most recent taking place Thanksgiving weekend in Thornhill when a small party of 20 witnessed an unusual object in the sky.

Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), who investigated the incident, reported that witnesses claim to have seen three circular objects in the shape of a triangle. They were said to be larger than any drone could be and shiny with lights illuminating them.

MUFON revealed that a similar sighting occurred in Belgium nearly 30 years ago and closed the file, classifying it as “unknown”. Ufology, who have been in business since the 90s, also shared that 1,101 UFO sightings were reported across Canada last year.

With nearly half explained as lights in the sky and less than 10 per cent an unexplained; Ufology doesn’t rule out classified military activity, unfamiliarity with natural objects and the internet phenomenon.
