The proposal to house Niagara College’s Canadian Food and Wine Institute at the historical Aurora Armoury, has been rejected for a second time.  Aurora city council has rejected approving a report on the economic benefits of hosting a post-secondary institute in the municipality.

Coun. John Abel has been asking for council’s support in directing staff to prepare an economic analysis to the province for their support. Without their funds, a project like this – costing millions of dollars – would be too large to consider, according to comments made by Abel to the Aurora Banner.
