It’s been a long time since we’ve dug into the lives and loves of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills…and they are FINALLY back in their home towns – thank God. Look, it was great being in Yolanda’s home town with the ladies, but one episode would’ve sufficed! They lost me at the Dutch Windmills…like, what’s salacious about that? Their jaunts in Amsterdam started to mimic a mini-series, and probably as a favour to the ever glamorous and prestigious, Yolanda Foster. Now, don’t get me wrong – I have grown fonder and fonder of the former Ms. Hadid as she has proven to be a truth-er. She lives a clean life, an honest life, and the last one to be influenced by peer pressure; the fact that she has remained loyal and consistent with Brandi is a testament to that. Because Brandi is a handful and a half!! But, that’s not why I like the woman.
Yolanda is also pop culture royalty, by association, of course with a supermodel for a daughter, the man who propelled Celine Dion to super stardom for a husband annnnnd a legendary crooner names Julio Iglesias for an ex-boyfriend. It’s true, and if you watched last night’s episode, you would have heard it from her lips. She is cool because of her humility and patience, which at first looked like self righteousness. but as we got to know her on the show, it couldn’t be farther from the truth. The lady has class. Enough said.Embed from Getty Images
I wish I could say the same for Kyle! Not only did this woman align herself with the very people who were combating her sister in Amsterdam, but she had the audacity to bring Kim to her new house in Palm Springs. Why does this make her a bad person? Okay, ti doesn’t make her a bad person, but why is that a bad thing? The answer it is quite simple: she SOLD the home that their Mother left to the sisters in her will. Yes, Kyle did buy Kim (and their other sister Kathy) out of that mutual piece of property, but not by their choice. Not by Kim’s choice, at least, as she was by Kyle’s admission “unable” to contribute to a mortgage payment at the time. So, Kyle did the obvious selfish and callous thing and provided her sister with some funds in exchange for her share in the property, which is a terrible terrible deal, especially when you are worth MILLIONS AND MILLIONS) and your sister is struggling. I am not saying that Kyle should fund Kim’s lifestyle or be responsible for her financially, but for God’s sake to rip a property away from her in her time of need is vicious, if you ask me. I understand that Kim was unable to make mortgage payments at the time, but if it were me I would just make a deduction on her share of it. Who needs a bank to for close on you when you have Kyle Richards for a sister?!Embed from Getty Images
As for Brandi Glanville, whose Podcast I follow (and like more than music…at times), she is also a truth-er and tells it like it is. She doesn’t go with the flow or succumb to peer pressure (anymore) and although her tactics need some work – she’s the real deal. I won’t say anything bad about Lisa Vanderpump (I wouldn’t DARE) or respectable newbies Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson (I used to LIVE on Y&R and Days). Let’s just leave it at that.
Now, how about we bring back Yolanda’s Dream Team to include Brandi and Kim!
